Statement of a beneficiary of Panii Jibon project published in Helvetas Partnerschaft Magagine

Momotaz Begum (president of a community cluster and member of a water users’ committee of a Pond Sand Filter, a potable water source renovated by Helvetas) one of the beneficiary of Panii Jibon Project, whose statement was published (in German language) in the Partnerschaft Magazine in August 2015 issue in Switzerland.
Millennium Development Goal (MDG) ended in the September 2015 and developed Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) for next 15 years. The world community is made up new sustainable development goals (SDG) for the coming 15 years from 2016 to 2030. But what future want the people themselves for their country and for their village? What are their dreams, hopes and fears? Helvetas staff asked women and men in 13 countries, what makes them tick. And what is their vision for the 2030th? Momotaz Begum, one of the beneficiary of Panii Jibon Project from a coastal village of Morrelganj Upazila under Bagerhat district, whose statement was published (in German language) in the Partnerschaft Magazine in August 2015 issue in Switzerland. Helvetas Bangladesh is one of the 13 selected countries from Helvetas working areas around the globe. The statement was recorded by Md. Abu Hena Mostofa Kamal, Helvetas staff on 11 May 2015.

BANGLADESH • Protection against floods, unspoilt villages, "I am a simple woman. No one has ever according to my wishes,Asked dreams and worries. Not even my relatives or my beloved
Man. In my dream, the villages have good roads and bridges. Floodgates protect our fields at waves from salt water. We have a schoolhouse, well-trained teachers, and there is no malnourished children more. In my dream all work. You can buy food, clothes and school supplies. Patients are taken to hospital by ambulance. All have electricity vand Internet. Worried that my family has no regular income. I'm afraid of earthquakes and floods, we lack safe Housing. Women are harassed, and the exaggerated Dowry demands are a problem. I dream that the people stand together in the village. The responsible their decisions should disclose.
